What can I accomplish with it?

The amount of CO2 saved by not using a car depends on various factors, including the car's fuel consumption and the type of CO2 emissions produced. As a rough estimate, we could say that an average car consumes around 8-10 litres of petrol per 100 km, emitting around 200-250 grams of CO2 per kilometre, depending on the engine and fuel type. So, if you don't drive your car for 100 kilometres, you could theoretically save between 20 and 25 kg of CO2. Described more graphically: 20 - 25 kg of C02 corresponds to the amount that can be absorbed by 2-3 mature trees per year.

How do I get there?

Optimise your CO2 emissions in the area of mobility for a fortnight. Take the bike instead of the car, use public transport, form car pools or, if necessary, organise a video call instead of a face-to-face meeting and consciously avoid private transport as often as you can for a fortnight. Make a daily note of how many kilometres you save on private transport and enter your personal number of kilometres saved after two weeks in the course of completing the challenge. When you click on "Challenge completed", you will be automatically prompted to enter your data.
